Nelumbo
During a revison of Capparaceae for the Flora of India Project, three new taxa were observed which are described below. Two species viz Capparis srilankensis and Stixis nayarii do not occur in India proper whereas Cleome viscosa var. negarjunakondensis, as it presently known, is confined to Andhra Pradesh in India.

New taxa within the orderOrchidales
Folia Geobotanica et Phytotaxonomica, 1991One new tribe (Telipogoneae) and nine new subtribes (Bartholininae, Cheirostylidinae, Elleanthinae, Epidendrinae, Herminiinae, Isochilinae, Oberoniinae, Phragmipeddiinae, Thecopodinae) are described. The status changes for five other taxa are proposed.

New Taxa in Utricularia (Lentibulariaceae)
Kew Bulletin, 1986satisfactory, being based either on largely incomplete material or on only a small proportion of the species. Those of C. S. Rafinesque (1836), A. De Candolle (1844) and F. Kamienski (1891) fall into the first category while those ofJ. B. Barnhart (1916) and S. Komiya (1973) fall into the second.
