Discrete Model for Concrete Fracture: Numerical Study of Dynamic Response

Transactions of the VŠB: Technical University of Ostrava, Civil Engineering Series, 2016
The contribution presents simulations on concrete specimens. The discrete meso-scale particle model with random geometry based on Voronoi tessellation is used. The model was enhanced with dynamic solver based on implicit Newmark method.

ABSTRACT This essay explores, from transnational perspectives, the early history of modern cremation, which developed in the long nineteenth century with secularist connotations. I argue that the beginnings of modern cremation were shaped by bourgeois men who claimed certain identifiers for themselves in a gendering and Othering way.

Epidendrum insularis occurs on the remote Alcatrazes Island in the southeastern Brazilian coast. The description of this new cryptic species was only possible by the joint use of molecular markers, reproductive experiments, flower morphometry, functional traits, and community analysis.
