Genetic counselors' awareness and attitudes regarding gene therapies

Conceptual contamination: Investigating the impact of misinformation on conceptual change and inoculation strategies

Abstract Misinformation has been extensively studied as both maliciously intended propaganda and accidentally experienced incorrect assumptions. We contend that “conceptual contamination” is the process by which the learning of incorrect information interferes, pollutes, or otherwise disrupts the learning of correct information.

Hyperostosis in Fishes: An Update With New Species Records

Hyperostosis is an enigmatic dimension of diversity in the anatomy of fishes. This excessive overgrowth of bone is natural in origin, occurs almost exclusively in marine fishes, is generally species‐specific, and becomes fully developed only in large individuals. We document hyperostosis in 35 families, 89 genera, and 153 species.
