International Review for the Sociology of Sport, 1986This study is a content analysis of sports news in three major newspapers, one in Iceland, England, and the United States. The cross-cultural comparisons focused on aspects of quantification in sport, coverage of female sports, amateur, semi-professional, and professional sports, and the problematic aspects of sports.
