Future changes in extremes across China based on NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 models
Abstract In this study, we assess the performance of the NASA Earth Exchange Global Daily Downscaled Projections’ (NEX-GDDP) CMIP6 models in simulating extreme climate indices over China and its eight subregions. Future projections of these indices for the period 2081–2100 are investigated under three scenarios.

Future projections of seasonal temperature and precipitation for India
Ninety climate models, from four consortiums—CMIP5, CMIP6, NEX-GDDP, and CORDEX—are evaluated for the simulation of seasonal temperature and precipitation over India, and subsequently, using the best ones, their future projections are made for the ...

Making Climate Data Accessible: Methods for Producing NEX-GDDP and LOCA Downscaled Climate Indicators [PDF]
The change in climate, fueled by the increase in global greenhouse gas concentrations, will alter our relationship with the planet, impacting agriculture, infrastructure, disaster management, and human conflict, among others. It is critical to anticipate these new trends so we can understand and adapt to variations in crop productivity, energy demand ...

The Dichotomy of Wet and Dry Trends Over India by Aerosol Indirect Effects in CMIP5 Models
Aerosol‐cloud interactions, also known as aerosol indirect effect (AIE), substantially impact rainfall frequency and intensity. Here, we analyze NEX‐GDDP, a multimodel ensemble of high‐resolution (0.25°) historical simulations and future projections ...

Hot spots of extreme precipitation change under 1.5 and 2 °C global warming scenarios
Climate change hot spots are the regions where the climate variables are particularly responsive to global warming. This study quantifies the hot spots of extreme precipitation based on the simultaneous changes in the intensity (ΔI), frequency (ΔF), and ...
