A SOFTWARE RELIABILITY GROWTH MODEL FOR VITAL QUALITY METRICS

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Industrial Engineering, 2012
<p>ENGLISH ABSTRACTA Non-Homogenous Poisson Process (NHPP) model whose failure intensity function has the same mathematical form as that of a generalized exponential function was proposed for application as a Software Reliability Growth Model (SRGM)

A hybrid firefly-Bayesian Neural Network approach for survival and reliability estimation in non-homogeneous Poisson processes

open access: yesScientific African
We develop a new parametric inference scheme, which will combine Bayesian Neural Networks (BNNs) and Firefly Algorithm (FFA) in order to estimate the parameters of the Gull-Alpha Power Gompertz-Makeham (GAPL-GM) distribution fitted in a Non-Homogeneous ...

The Bayesian Analysis for Software Reliability Models Based on NHPP

open access: yesThe KIPS Transactions:PartD, 2003
This paper presents a stochastic model for the software failure phenomenon based on a nonhomogeneous Poisson process (NHPP) and performs Bayesian inference using prior information. The failure process is analyzed to develop a suitable mean value function for the NHPP; expressions are given for several performance measure.

Non-Homogeneous Poisson Process Software Reliability Model and Multi-Criteria Decision for Operating Environment Uncertainty and Dependent Faults

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The importance of software has increased significantly over time, and software failures have become a critical concern. As software systems have diversified in functionality, their structure has become more complex, and the types of failures that can ...

LINEX Loss-Based Estimation of Expected Arrival Time of Next Event from HPP and NHPP Processes Past Truncated Time

open access: yesAnalytics
This article introduces a computational tool for Bayesian estimation of the expected time until the next event occurs in both homogeneous Poisson processes (HPPs) and non-homogeneous Poisson processes (NHPPs), following a truncated time.

Characteristics and Application of the NHPP Log-Logistic Reliability Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Statistics and Probability, 2018
In this paper, a Nonhomogeneous Poisson Process (NHPP) reliability model based on the two-parameter Log-Logistic (LL) distribution is considered. The essential model&rsquo;s characteristics are derived and represented graphically. The parameters of the model are estimated by the Maximum Likelihood (ML) and Non-linear Least Square (NLS) estimation ...
