Changes in the Location of the Second Mesiobuccal Canal Orifice After Canal Preparation in Maxillary First Molars

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study evaluated angular and linear positional changes of the second mesiobuccal (MB2) canal orifice in maxillary first molars and proposed a guideline for its localization. Twenty‐eight extracted maxillary first molars with four canals were analysed. After access cavity preparation, all canals except MB2 were instrumented. The initial and

Response of Remote Tropical West Pacific Islands to Climate Variability: A Multiproxy Record From T‐Lake, Palau, Spanning the Early Holocene to Present

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lake sediments are natural archives of past environmental dynamics and how these systems have responded to past climate variability. Sediment geochemistry, governed by local geology and climate processes, is unique to each lake‐catchment and geochemical proxies must be validated for each study site.

Gold and Nickel Release From Gold‐Plated Earrings Under Cysteine‐Modified Artificial Sweat Conditions

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, EarlyView.
Gold release from gold‐plated earrings was investigated using a cysteine‐modified artificial sweat solution designed to reflect biochemically relevant conditions. This model enabled detection of low‐level gold release. Nickel release was quantified in parallel and was detected in all samples, frequently exceeding established regulatory limits. ABSTRACT

Short‐Term Outcomes of Full Pulpotomy Compared With Root Canal Treatment for Irreversible Pulpitis: The PROVE Study

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To assimilate data from individual randomised trials and perform a pooled analysis of short‐term outcomes of pulpotomy compared with root canal treatment (RCT) for teeth with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis (SIRP). Methods Randomised trials were conducted in eight countries using a standardised clinical protocol and outcome ...

Mechanical and Metallurgical Evaluation of Four Rotary Nickel‐Titanium File Systems: A Multimethod Study

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To compare four rotary nickel‐titanium (NiTi) file systems (Endostar E3 Azure, Endostar E3, VDW.ROTATE, and Mtwo) using a multimethod approach to evaluate their mechanical and metallurgical properties. Materials and Methods Endostar E3 Azure, Endostar E3, VDW.ROTATE, and Mtwo (all size 25/0.06 with an S‐shaped cross‐section; 52 instruments

Clinical Outcome of Non‐Surgical Endodontic Treatment Performed by Undergraduate Dental Students: A Retrospective Observational Cohort Study

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To evaluate the outcome of pulpectomy, root canal treatment (RCT) and orthograde retreatment in permanent teeth performed by undergraduate dental students and to assess the influence of various variables. Methodology Electronic dental health records at the Department of Odontology, University of Copenhagen, Denmark were analysed covering ...

Nanoprecipitate characterisation in NiTi and aluminium alloys: A TEM‐based overview

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Nanoscale precipitates are central to the functional and mechanical performance of many advanced alloys, yet their characteristics and spatial distributions can be directly resolved only by electron microscopy. In this poster‐style article, focused ion beam‐prepared TEM lamellae are used to provide a microscopy‐focused overview of ...

Effect of substructure fabrication method and design on the fracture resistance properties of metal–ceramic restorations

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose In metal–ceramic restorations, the substructure fabrication method and design may affect the prognosis of the prosthesis. This study evaluated and compared the fracture resistance of metal–ceramic restorations fabricated with different substructure fabrication methods using two different alloy powders and designs.
