The K3 rotary nickel titanium instrument system

Endodontic Topics, 2005
K3 nickel–titanium rotary instruments were introduced to allow efficient and safe root canal preparation, due to their innovative design, with few if any limitations. Instruments can be moved smoothly down with the canal without threading themselves into it, cut well and resist to torsional and cyclic fatigue.

Surface properties of nickel-titanium rotary instruments

2007
NiTi rotary systems are able to prepare root canals to excellent taper, with less canal transportation, greater preservation of tooth structure, and allow faster canal preparation than hand instruments. Since the capability of NiTi instruments to efficiently enlarge root canals depends on their surface properties, surface treatments of NiTi instruments
