Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

A rapid, sensitive and selective method for the determination of nickel based on the rapid reaction of nickel(II) with 5-(4′-chlorophenylazo)-6-hydroxypyrimidine-2,4-dione (CPAHPD) and the solid phase extraction of the Ni(II)–CPAHPD complex with C18 ...

Crystal structure of dibromidotetrakis(propan-2-ol-κO)nickel(II)
The asymmetric unit of the mononuclear title complex, [NiBr2(C3H8O)4], comprises a NiII cation located on a centre of inversion, one Br− anion and two propan-2-ol ligands. The NiII cation exhibits a distorted trans-Br2O4 environment.

Cis versus trans arrangement of dithiocarbazate ligands in bis-chelated Ni and Cu complexes
The structures are described of two bis-chelated metal complexes of nickel(II) and copper(II) with S-n-hexyl 3-(1-phenylethylidene)dithiocarbazate Schiff bases in a cis configuration, namely, bis[S-n-hexyl 3-(1-phenylethylidene)dithiocarbazato-κ2N3,S ...

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

We report the first β‐glucosidase with demonstrated hydrolytic activity on an N‐linked glycopyranoside. The enzyme, native to maize, was biochemically characterised for this novel reaction, and structural modelling of the enzyme–substrate complex revealed several clues to the underlying reduced catalytic rate relative to its native O‐glycopyranoside ...

Copper(II), Nickel(II) and Zinc(II) Complexes of Peptide Fragments of Tau Protein
Copper(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) complexes of various peptide fragments of tau protein were studied by potentiometric and spectroscopic techniques. All peptides contained one histidyl residue and represented the sequences of tau(91–97) (Ac-AQPHTEI-NH2)

We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...
