Minimally Invasive Chemical Biopsy Needle with Self‐Wettable Extraction Phase For In Vivo Tissue Sampling During Medical Procedures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 1, 5 January 2026.
A new tissue sampling device using an acupuncture needle with bio‐compatible extraction sorbents in the recessed section is developed. The coating material using self‐wettable particles doesn't require solvent activation after sterilization. This device is applied for the anti‐cancer drug concentration monitoring during the in vivo lung perfusion ...

The Role of the Real Impact of Sustainable Consumption Perception on Sustainable Behaviors, Evidence From a Post‐Transitional European Economy

open access: yesSustainable Development, Volume 34, Issue S1, Page 1404-1418, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Using literature review, CFA, and three SEM models, this study investigates the effect of the real impact of sustainable consumption perception on sustainable behaviors. Data were collected using the Internet surveying technique on a sample of 1200 adult consumers in Poland.

In Search of Structure’ Links Across Length Scales: Crossover Among Structural Motifs, Energetics, and Magic Systems in Subnanometer Transition Metals Clusters

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Evolution of structural motifs of transition metal systems from tetramers and hexamers to bulk phases is studied. Clusters of transition metal (TM) elements are becoming increasingly important in our daily lives for a wide ensemble of applications in catalysis and bio‐fields, for health, energy and environmental problems.

Cover Feature: In Search of Structure’ Links Across Length Scales: Crossover Among Structural Motifs, Energetics, and Magic Systems in Subnanometer Transition Metals Clusters (Small Struct. 1/2026)

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Transition Metals ClustersThe cover art symbolizes the evolutionary link from nanoscale metal clusters to bulk metals. The arrangement of transition metal elements, radiating from the "atomic components" vessel, illustrates their structural pathway.

A pan‐European citizen science study shows population size, climate and land use are related to biased morph ratios in the heterostylous plant Primula veris

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 114, Issue 1, January 2026.
A large‐scale citizen science study involving thousands of cowslip (Primula veris) observations from all over Europe revealed an unexpected prevalence of S‐morphs over L‐morphs, which was influenced by climatic as well as land use factors. Furthermore, general morph ratios were often unbalanced with the strongest shifts occurring in smaller populations.
