Defect‐Functionalization‐Mediated Tunneling Drives Nonlinear Photoemission in Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This cover illustration depicts CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals embedded with functionalized defect vacancies, where electrons migrate through defect‐mediated pathways and emit as lightning‐like beams. The imagery visualizes the core discovery of our work—defect‐functionalization‐mediated tunneling enabling nonlinear photoemission, where deep‐level ...

Estimating GDP by Fusing Nighttime Light and Land Cover Data

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Remote Sensing
Accurate information on gross domestic product (GDP) is essential for better understanding the dynamics of regional economies and urbanization processes. Satellite based nighttime light datasets can well track GDP in urban areas, however, they are difficult to be used in suburban, rural and sparsely populated areas.

Autonomous and Continuous Atmospheric Water Harvesting Using Modified Wood

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rigid, hydroxyl‐rich wood skeleton with graded channels is used as a multifunctional host to co‐incorporate a PNipam/PAA network and LiCl, creating a high‐performance sorbent for atmospheric water harvesting. The composite achieves rapid sorption, efficient low‐temperature desorption, and stable cycling, enabling a solar‐powered device with a high ...

Improved Daily Nighttime Light Data as High-Frequency Economic Indicator

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Daily nighttime light (NTL) observations made by remote sensing satellites can monitor human activity at high temporal resolution, but are often constrained by residual physical disturbances. Even in standard products, such as NASA’s Black Marble VNP46A2,

Interface Wettability Transition‐Driven Drug Release and Dual‐Phase Functionalization in Implant Abutment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A temporally controlled drug release coating is developed for abutments using a superhydrophobic coating self‐assembled on mesoporous silica. This surface provides sequential functionality: initial contamination resistance through non‐wetting, followed by controlled drug release via wettability transition.
