Evaluation for Sortie Generation Capacity of the Carrier Aircraft Based on the Variable Structure RBF Neural Network with the Fast Learning Rate

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
The neural network has the advantages of self‐learning, self‐adaptation, and fault tolerance. It can establish a qualitative and quantitative evaluation model which is closer to human thought patterns. However, the structure and the convergence rate of the radial basis function (RBF) neural network need to be improved.

A Task Allocation Model for a Team of Aircraft Launching on the Carrier

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
High level efficiency and safety are of paramount importance for the improvement of fighting capability of an aircraft carrier. The task allocation problem for a team of aircraft launching on the carrier is studied in this paper. Although the study of this problem is of great significance, no relevant literature has been found on this issue.

Yellow canopy syndrome of sugarcane: A review of current knowledge and future research directions

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, Volume 188, Issue 1, Page 48-63, January 2026.
Yellow Canopy Syndrome (YCS) is a complex issue affecting commercial sugarcane in Australia, first identified in Far North Queensland over a decade ago. It has spread across most cane‐growing regions in Queensland and poses a significant threat to the global sugarcane industry.

Volatile Organic Compounds From Nematophagous Fungi With Nematicidal Activity Against the Root‐Lesion Nematode Pratylenchus brachyurus

open access: yesJournal of Phytopathology, Volume 174, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Pratylenchus spp. are highly polyphagous migratory endoparasites and rank among the most important plant‐parasitic nematodes in agriculture. Their management relies primarily on integrated practices, including the use of chemical nematicides, biological control agents, and cultural strategies.

Estimating Flight Characteristics of Anomalous Unidentified Aerial Vehicles in the 2004 Nimitz Encounter [PDF]

open access: yesThe 39th International Workshop on Bayesian Inference and Maximum Entropy Methods in Science and Engineering, 2019
A number of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) encountered by military, commercial, and civilian aircraft have been reported to be structured craft that exhibit `impossible’ flight characteristics. We consider the 2004 UAP encounters with the Nimitz Carrier Group off the coast of California, and estimate lower bounds on the accelerations exhibited by ...

Learning error distribution kernel‐enhanced neural network methodology for multi‐intersection signal control optimization

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Volume 40, Issue 22, Page 3564-3579, 9 September 2025.
Abstract Traffic congestion has substantially induced significant mobility and energy inefficiency. Many research challenges are identified in traffic signal control and management associated with artificial intelligence (AI)‐based models. For example, developing AI‐driven dynamic traffic system models that accurately capture high‐resolution traffic ...
