Fibrous Growth of Niobium Carbide and Niobium Nitride by Discharge Method
炭化ニオブおよび窒化ニオブ繊維を五塩化ニオブ, 水素, アルゴン, プロパンまたは窒素混合気中より放電を利用して成長させる条件について検討した。放電電流および交流周波数はそれぞれ 0.05~3.OmAおよび60Hzとした。繊維の成長にさいして極間距離を一定に保つように電極を移動した。成長速度は主として放電電流に関係して, 0.05~0.1mAのとき最大の成長速度約 30mm/minを示し, 繊維の直径は最小値7~13μを示した。最適の反応器温度およびアルゴン濃度はそれぞれ 400℃および 80~90vol% であることがわかった。五塩化ニオブ, プロパンまたは窒素濃度は成長した繊維の組成に影響を与え, 食塩型構造の金属相を含まない炭化ニオブおよび窒化ニオブはそれぞれプロパン濃度 0.9vol ...
