NIR-to-NIR Imaging via Harmonic Nanoparticles
2022 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Pacific Rim (CLEO-PR), 2022A lack of suitable markers hampered the exploitation of the third and fourth biological windows, an appealing approach for safe in-vivo imaging. Harmonic nanoparticles and nonlinear microscopy offer a valuable solution to bridge this gap.

Pure NIR to NIR Upconverting Bi5O7I:Tm3+, Yb3+ Nanophosphors
ECS Solid State Letters, 2013(y = 0.5, 1.0, 1.5%) nanophosphors were synthesized by solvent thermal method. The crystalline structure of samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) (Bruker D8-Advance diffractometer using Cu Kα (λ = 1.5406 A) radiation). The morphology and particle sizes were determined by a transmission electron microscopy (TEM, JEM-2100).

Sexterrylenetetracarboxylic Bisimides: NIR Dyes
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015Sexterrylenehexacarboxylic bisimides, extended peri-arylenes with the alignment of six peri-arranged naphthalene units, were prepared by Suzuki cross coupling and subsequent oxidative ring closure reactions of the perylene units and exhibit NIR absorption at 945 nm.
