Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS)-based eyes-closed brain-computer interface (BCI) using prefrontal cortex activation due to mental arithmetic

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2016
We propose a near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS)-based brain-computer interface (BCI) that can be operated in eyes-closed (EC) state. To evaluate the feasibility of NIRS-based EC BCIs, we compared the performance of an eye-open (EO) BCI paradigm and an EC ...

A Novel MOEMS NIR Spectrometer

open access: yesPhysics Procedia, 2011
AbstractIn order to detect luminous intensity of light signal in NIR (Near-infrared) wavelength range, a novel MOEMS(Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical Systems) NIR spectrometer is proposed in the paper. It uses DMD (Digital Micro-mirror Device) to band filter the input spectrum. The merits of DMD are small size, low price and high scan speed.

Strategies to Design and Optimize Artificial Antigen‐Presenting Cells for T Cell Expansion in Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advances in engineering artificial antigen‐presenting cells (aAPCs) as alternatives to dendritic cells for T cell expansion. Key design principles inspired by the immunological synapse are discussed, with emphasis on strategies for polyclonal and antigen‐specific T cell expansion.

Determination of The Effect of Technological Procedures Applied in Feed Factories on Mixed Feed Nutrition and Forming Quality Critical Points

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology, 2019
In this study, it is aimed to establish quality critical points in order to determine the quality of feeds prepared in compound feed factories before production. For this purpose, quality control points should be established and continuously monitored in

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Strain Partitioning at the Oxide Interface for the Isothermal Phase Transition in Freestanding Tri‐Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The metal–insulator transition temperature (TMI) is continuously tuned by the systematic change of relative thickness in VO2 and TiO2 films (tVO2/tTiO2${t_{{\mathrm{V}}{{\mathrm{O}}_2}}}/{t_{{\mathrm{Ti}}{{\mathrm{O}}_2}}}$) in freestanding TiO2/VO2/TiO2 tri‐layers.
