NIR−NIR fluorescence: A new genre of fingermark visualisation techniques
Forensic Science International, 2016A preliminary study reveals that finely divided cuprorivaite powder may be used to efficiently develop and subsequently image latent fingermarks across a range of highly patterned, coloured non-porous and semi-porous substrates using near infrared illumination and imaging.

Seeing red: A review of the use of near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) in entomology
Applied spectroscopy reviews (Softcover ed.), 2019Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a rapid, noninvasive and cheap method of profiling the chemical composition of a broad range of sample types. Over the past two decades, it has been used in numerous entomological applications, ranging from taxonomy ...

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems, 2018
This paper presents a sub-mW ASIC for multimodal brain monitoring. The ASIC is co-integrated with electrode(s) and optodes (i.e., optical source and detector) as an active sensor to measure electroencephalography (EEG), bio-impedance (BioZ), and near ...

Pure NIR to NIR Upconverting Bi5O7I:Tm3+, Yb3+ Nanophosphors
ECS Solid State Letters, 2013(y = 0.5, 1.0, 1.5%) nanophosphors were synthesized by solvent thermal method. The crystalline structure of samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) (Bruker D8-Advance diffractometer using Cu Kα (λ = 1.5406 A) radiation). The morphology and particle sizes were determined by a transmission electron microscopy (TEM, JEM-2100).
