A new fractional Nishihara-type model with creep damage considering thermal effect

Engineering Fracture Mechanics, 2021
Abstract Our chief target of this paper is to study the temperature-dependent Nishihara-type model(TDNM) with creep damage based on the Caputo fractional derivative. The Vogel–Fulcher–Tammann (VFT) law is considered due to its property between the viscoelastic and the temperature.

Nonlinear Creep Model for Rocks Considering Damage Evolution Based on the Modified Nishihara Model

International Journal of Geomechanics, 2021
Abstract In general, the microdefects in rocks obey Weibull distribution. Based on the laws of statistics of microdefects in rocks, the relationship between the damage and the strain is established...

Study on Improved Nonlinear Viscoelastic-Plastic Creep Model Based on the Nishihara Model

Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, 2020
The description of rock creep by existing rheological models mainly focuses on the first two stages of creep. However, the description of the accelerated creep stage is rare, which is contrary to the common study of soft rock failure in engineering applications.

Modified Nishihara model and experimental verification of deep rock mass under the water-rock interaction

International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences, 2020
Abstract During the mining process of deep mines, the instability of surrounding rock caused by rock creep has occurred from time to time. However, it is difficult to study the accelerating creep phase of rock with the classical Nishihara model. Due to the influence of water seepage and different stress, rock creep exhibits non-linear characteristics.
