Cross‐linked binders with enhanced resiliencies under low operating pressures are designed via in situ thiol‐ene click reactions within slurries. Cross‐linking improves the Young's moduli and elasticities of the styrene‐butadiene rubber binders, effectively mitigating interparticle delamination within the composite cathodes induced by volumetric ...

Surface hardening for 38MoCrAl09 steel using fluidized bed nitriding
The paper is based an nitriding experiments made in a fluidized bed laboratory furnace. Fluidization was obtained in a steel refractory retort by solid granular (burned fire clay) and fluid (mixture of ammonia and nitrogen).

The pyrene and ether groups are incorporated into the covalent triazine polymer (CTP) structure. The synergistic effect of the two functional groups endows CTP with better electron transfer, light absorption, and oxygen activation properties. An impressive apparent quantum yield (13.2% @420 nm) and a remarkable solar‐to‐chemical conversion efficiency ...

Bend strengths of reaction bonded silicon nitride prepared from dry attrition milled silicon powder [PDF]
Dry attrition milled silicon powder was compacted, sintered in helium, and reaction bonded in nitrogen-4 volume percent hydrogen. Bend strengths of bars with as-nitrided surfaces averaged as high as 210 MPa at room temperature and 220 MPa at 1400 C. Bars

Surface modification of austenitic steel by various glow-discharge nitriding methods
Recent years have seen intensive research on modifying glow-discharge nitriding processes. One of the most commonly used glow-discharge methods includes cathodic potential nitriding (conventional method), and active screen plasma nitriding. Each of these

In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.

Hydrogen transport in alpha titanium [PDF]
Permeation experiments after nitriding the inlet surface of a hollow cylindrical membrane were conducted. Permeation data on two additional specimens given pre-oxidation or pre-nitriding treatments at both inlet and outlet surfaces are presented in terms

A minimally invasive, transepithelial corneal cross‐linking (TE‐CXL) approach is presented using upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs)‐loaded contact lenses (UCLs), after topical delivery of hyaluronate–riboflavin conjugates. The NIR‐to‐UV/blue light conversion by UCNPs in a UCL can activate riboflavin for TE‐CXL, resulting in the biomechanical strength ...
