Anisotropy in Molded Nitrile Rubber
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1975Abstract Measurements of linear swelling in solvent of small test pieces provide a useful means of investigating anisotropy in vulcanized products and components whose small size precludes the use of conventional tests on dumbbells, etc. Anisotropy has been found to be present in molded components.

Vulcanization and properties of hydrogenated nitrile rubber/nitrile rubber blends
The HNBR/NBR blends were prepared at ratios of 100/0, 90/10, 80/20 and 70/30 (wt%). The compounds by using a two-roll mixing mill at various ratios filled with two types of carbon black loading, GPF N-660 and SRF N-774 (fixed at 50 phr) were cured by three vulcanization systems: conventional vulcanization, efficient vulcanization and peroxide ...openaire +1 more source
Nitrile Rubber-Polyvinylchloride Blends
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1962Abstract Vulcanizable blends of nitrile rubber and Polyvinylchloride combine excellent weather resistance with the low swelling in petroleum solvents of the nitrile rubbers. The Polyvinylchloride functions as a reinforcing agent and increases the hardness, modulus and tensile strength of the material. The principal disadvantages of the addition

Investigation of Abrasion of Nitrile Rubber
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1984Abstract Abrasion of NBR appears as a dry (particulate) wear, similar to unfilled BR, NR, and SBR, and filled BR. The abraded surface seems textured on two scales: that of the ridges of the abrasion pattern and that of small particles of debris.

Scrap rubber recycling in nitrile rubber composites
2020In this study, scrap rubber were recycled by blending with nitrile rubber composites, having carbon black as filler. Resulting composites have been investigated, in terms of Theological and dynamic-static mechanical properties as well as their dimensional stabilities in organic solvents, as a function of carbon black-ground rubber compositions together

Modelling the permeability of nitrile rubber
2016Elastomer seals are widely used in the oil and gas industry and form small but crucial parts of critical mechanical and electronic components. Ideally, to prevent damage to such components, the seals should act as impermeable barriers. However, under the high pressures and temperatures found downhole, they are liable to suffer two main types of ...
