Assay of Sodium Nitrite

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1965
The official U.S.P. assay for sodium nitrite which employs standard permanganate and standard oxalate solutions is compared with a new method using standard ceric sulfate solution. The proposed method is shown to be more accurate than the official method by comparison of the results with the absolute purity of the sodium nitrite determined by phase ...

Fluorimetric determination of nitrite

Talanta, 1993
A sensitive and rapid fluorimetric method for the determination of nitrite is described. The method is based on the reaction of nitrite with tryptophan to form a highly fluorescent compound in alkaline medium. The method has been applied in the determination of nitrite in water and food samples.

Gold Nanoparticle/Chitosan@N,S Co-doped Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes Sensor: Fabrication, Characterization, and Electrochemical Detection of Catechol and Nitrite

, 2017
Given that catechol and nitrite can be easily released into the environment and cause serious damage to our physical and ecological environment, it is necessary to develop a fast and reliable detection method for catechol and nitrite analysis.

Macrophage cytotoxicity: role for L-arginine deiminase and imino nitrogen oxidation to nitrite.

Science, 1987
Previous studies have shown that cytotoxic activated macrophages cause inhibition of DNA synthesis, of mitochondrial respiration, and of aconitase activity in tumor target cells.

Temperature Decouples Ammonium and Nitrite Oxidation in Coastal Waters.

Environmental Science and Technology, 2017
Nitrification is a two-step process linking the reduced and oxidized sides of the nitrogen cycle. These steps are typically tightly coupled with the primary intermediate, nitrite, rarely accumulating in coastal environments.

A Highly Sensitive Nonenzymatic Sensor Based on Fe2O3 Nanoparticle Coated ZnO Nanorods for Electrochemical Detection of Nitrite

, 2017
Monitoring of nitrite is needed for the management of nitrite contamination and to ensure the welfare of environment and human health. Hence, it is important to develop high‐performance sensors that precisely measure nitrite concentration.
