Progress in Surface‐Enhanced Raman Scattering‐Based Volatile Organic Compounds Detection: Materials, Application, and Prospects

open access: yesRare Metals, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) holds significant implications in environmental monitoring and disease diagnosis. Traditional gas detection technologies are constrained by complex operation and high cost, thereby failing to satisfy real‐time detection demands.

Highly Sensitive Fluorescent Sensing for Nitrobenzene of CdII Complexes Based on Three Isomers and a Bis-Imidazole Ligand

open access: yesMolecules
Detection of nitro pollutants is an important topic in environmental protection. A total of 3 Cd (II) complexes (1–3) based on 3 soft organic isomers, n-(3,5-dicarboxylato benzyloxy) benzoic acid (n = 2, 3 or 4-H3DBB), and a linear N-donor ligand, 3-bis ...

Plant growth nutrient (nitrobenzene) poisoning with multiple complications

open access: yesArchives of Medicine and Health Sciences, 2015
Nitrobenzene, a pale yellow oily liquid with an odor of bitter almonds, is used in the synthesis of Aniline dyes, flavoring agent, and also in rubber industry. Recently it is also used as a plant growth nutrient. It causes methemoglobinemia with symptoms

Microwave-activated Ni/carbon catalysts for highly selective hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to cyclohexylamine

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Biocarbon supported Ni catalysts have been prepared by facile impregnation of Ni species by microwave-heating and used for selective hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to cyclohexylamine. These catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectra,

f‐Block Element‐Based MOF Thin Films: A Platform for Luminescence, Sensing, and Energy Applications

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
f‐Block element–based metal–organic framework (f‐MOF) thin films offer exceptional potential for luminescent, sensing, and energy‐related applications. This review surveys recent progress in their synthesis, characterization, and functional implementation, emphasizing the diversity of available thin‐film fabrication strategies. The convergence of these

Functional polymer materials containing heavy group‐14 elements focusing on germanium and tin

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
The synthesis, functions, and applications of the polymers containing heavy group 14 elements focusing on germanium and tin are outlined. Owing to their large atomic radii and weak binding energies, the polymers show unique properties: chromism, luminescence, carrier mobility, and reactivity to produce radials and higher coordinated states.
