Undersown catch crops as a source of biomass for energy [PDF]
Italian ryegrass would need an additional nitrogen fertilizer application after cereal harvest to achieve its full yield potential. Use of legumes as undersown crops might be better in energy balance point of view.

Factors affecting ammonium uptake in streams - an inter-biome perspective [PDF]
The Lotic Intersite Nitrogen experiment (LINX) was a coordinated study of the relationships between North American biomes and factors governing ammonium uptake in streams. Our objective was to relate inter-biome variability of ammonium uptake to physical,

Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing of High‐Nitrogen Alloyed FeCr(Si)N Stainless Steel
The alloying element Nitrogen enhances stainless steel strength, corrosion resistance, and stabilizes austenite. This study develops austenitic FeCr(Si)N steel production via powder metallurgy. Fe20Cr and Si3N4 are hot isostatically pressed, creating an austenitic microstructure.

Dynamics of Nitrogen loads in surface water of an agricultural watershed by modelling approach, the Save, Southwest France. [PDF]
Agriculture is known to have a great impact of nutrients enrichment on continental water resources. In south-West of France (Gascogne region), water resource are essentially surface water and shallow aquifer.

Aflatoxin and Nitrogen Balance in the Young Calf
Abstract The purpose of this experiment was to determine effects of aflatoxin on the nitrogen balance of 2- to 8-wk old male calves. Daily doses of a crude aflatoxin preparation were administered orally to four groups of three calves at 0, .02, .04, and .08 mg/kg body weight. Doses were adjusted weekly for changes in body weight.

The share of technical thermoplastics is expected to grow further in the e‐mobility segment. In this study, a detailed temperature‐based tribological characterization of technical thermoplastics is performed. The tribological properties are discussed in terms of the dynamic mechanical properties of polymers at different ambient temperatures. A proof of

Bakery waste in sheep diets: intake, digestibility, nitrogen balance and ruminal parameters
The objective of the study was to evaluate the effects of bakery waste inclusion (0; 25; 50; 75 and 100%, DM basis) in proportion to corn meal in the energetic mixture of the concentrate on intake, digestibility, nitrogen balance and ruminal parameters ...
