Early Galactic Evolution of Carbon, Nitrogen and Oxygen [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We present results on carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen abundances for a sample of unevolved metal-poor stars with metallicities in the range -0.3< [Fe/H]< -3. Oxygen abundances derived from different indicators are compared showing consistently that in the range 0.3 >[Fe/H]>-3.0, the [O/Fe] ratio increases from approximately 0 to 1.

Ultra-Rapid Nitrogen Balances in Man

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1971
SummaryFasting healthy participants were in negative nitrogen balance when given glucose calories alone intravenously. Reversal of nitrogen balance from negative to positive occurred during the intravenous administration of an amino acid-glucose mixture.

The Effect of Urea and Sulphur Level in Mixing of Cassava Waste Fermented and Soybean Cake waste on Nitrogen Balance and Digestibility of Energy of Local Male Sheep

open access: yesAnimal Production: Indonesian Journal of Animal Production, 2001
Cassava waste and soybean cake waste are by - product from home industry  that  have been used as animal feed. It contain high crude fibber, there fore it must be processed or added with another nutrients before feeding to animal to get a good ...

Anomalous Weight Behavior in YBa2Cu3O7 Compounds at Low Temperature [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1997
YBa2Cu3O7 high temperature superconductor samples were weighed on an electronic balance during a warming cycle beginning at 77 degrees K. The experiment was configured so that the YBa2Cu3O7 material was weighed along with a magnet, a target mass, and liquid Nitrogen coolant. The weights were captured during Nitrogen evaporation.

Consumo, digestibilidade aparente de nutrientes e disponibilidade de minerais em ovinos, em função de diferentes níveis de cama de frango na dieta Intake, apparent digestibility of nutrients and availability of minerals in sheep as a function of different levels of poultry litter in the diet

Revisiting Effects of Nitrogen Incorporation and Graphitization on Conductivity of Ultra-nano-crystalline Diamond Films [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Detailed structural and electrical properties of ultra-nano-crystalline diamond (UNCD) films grown in H$_\text{2}$/CH$_\text{4}$/N$_\text{2}$ plasma were systematically studied as a function of deposition temperature ($T_d$) and nitrogen content ($\%$ N$_2$) to thoroughly evaluate their effects on conductivity. $T_d$ was scanned from 1000 to 1300 K for

Aflatoxin and Nitrogen Balance in the Young Calf

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1973
Abstract The purpose of this experiment was to determine effects of aflatoxin on the nitrogen balance of 2- to 8-wk old male calves. Daily doses of a crude aflatoxin preparation were administered orally to four groups of three calves at 0, .02, .04, and .08 mg/kg body weight. Doses were adjusted weekly for changes in body weight.

NITROGEN UTILIZATION BY DAIRY GOATS OFFERED DIFFERENT NITROGEN SOURCES AS SUPPLEMENTS IN HIGH ISOCALORIC ENERGY CONCENTRATES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Indonesian Tropical Animal Agriculture, 2011
Twelve growing female goats (Anglo-Nubian) were assigned to a multiple latin square design experiment to evaluate the effectiveness of additions of nitrogen (N) supplements to a high isocaloric energy ration on N utilization.

Genetic covariance components for measures of nitrogen utilization in grazing dairy cows

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science
: Improved nitrogen utilization of dairy production systems should improve not only the economic output of the systems but also the environmental metrics. One strategy to improve efficiency is through breeding programs. Improving a trait through breeding
