Transporters for nitrogenous compounds in plants

Plant Molecular Biology, 1994
Cells are surrounded by a membrane which separates intracellular from extracellular processes and allows controlled contact and exchange of the intracellular space with the environment. Communication is made possible by integral membrane proteins at the interface between intra-and extracellular space, thus establishing the contact to neighbouring cells

Membrane Rejection of Nitrogen Compounds

Environmental Science & Technology, 2001
Rejection characteristics of nitrogen compounds were examined for reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, and low-pressure reverse osmosis membranes. The rejection of nitrogen compounds is explained by integrating experimental results with calculations using the extended Nernst-Planck model coupled with a steric hindrance model.

Selenium-nitrogen and tellurium-nitrogen compounds

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 1982
Abstract Te-N and Se-N compounds are notoriously unstable. However, starting with H 2 NTeF 5 or (CH 3 ) 3 SiNHTeF 5 a variety of tellurium nitrogen compounds have been prepared, such as F 5 TeNSF 2 , F 5 TeNPF 3 , F 5 TeNCl 2 a.o. A crystal structure is given of F 5 TeNWCl 4 , and an electron diffraction structure of F 5 TeNCO. Whereas

Nitrogen bridgehead compounds. 66. Bronchodilator nitrogen bridgehead compounds with a pyrimidinone moiety

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1987
New types of bronchodilator agents, bi- and tricyclic nitrogen bridgehead compounds with a pyrimidin-4(3H)-one ring, were synthesized and evaluated for bronchodilator activity against serotonin-, histamine-, and acetylcholine-induced spasms in the guinea pig Konzett-Rössler test. The structure-activity relationships are discussed.

Nitrogen Compounds in Atmospheric Precipitation

Water, Air, & Soil Pollution, 1995
The paper presents results of a stoichiometric calculation of a nitrogen (N) compounds in precipitation of World Meteorological Organization's Global Atmosphere Watch (WMO GAW) stations. Long-term trends of ammonium sulphate ((NH4)2SO4) and ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) contents i the North-West of Russia as well as in Byelorussia, Scandinavia, Western and
