Personal sampler for nitrogen dioxide
American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1976A new type of personal sampler for gases in air, originally reported from this laboratory, has been adapted to measurement of NO2. The sampler depends on the transfer of NO2 by diffusion to a triethanolamine coated collector at the sealed end of a tube; the open end of the tube is exposed to the test environment. The devices are accurate, light, simple

Photosynthesis and Nitrogen Fixation in Soybean Exposed to Nitrogen Dioxide and Carbon Dioxide
Journal of Environmental Quality, 1992Abstract‘Williams‐82’ Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] plants, at the flowering stage, were exposed to NO2 (0.1 µmol mol−1, 7 h d−1) and CO2 (450 µmol mol−1, 12 h d−1) for 5 d singly and in combination in open‐top field chambers. The rate of photosynthesis (PN), specific root nodule nitrogenase activity (SNA), and leaf N were measured after exposure ...

Photolysis of nitrogen dioxide
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1973Relative quantum yields for the photolysis of NO2 to give NO have been measured at 5 or 10 nm intervals in the range of 295 to 445 nm, and also at several longer wavelengths. The behavior of the quantum yield as a function of photon energy can be separated into three distinct wavelength regions.

Toxicity of nitrogen dioxide: an introduction
Toxicology, 1994Many questions, needed to advance our understanding of the mechanism of injury from high-level NO2, remain unanswered to date. This is partly due to the limited interest in the toxicity of high-level exposures, and partly due to the public pressure and interest to study the effects of low- (environmental) levels.

THE PHOTOIONIZATION OF NITROGEN DIOXIDE
Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1962The ionization of nitrogen dioxide by photons has been studied using a photoionization mass spectrometric technique and also by the ordinary electron impact method. The photoionization results show a large variation in the relative ionization efficiency within the energy range 9–14 ev, and help to explain the differences between previously reported ...
