Effects of Previous Nitrogen Fertilizer Application on Yield and Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Wheat / Maize in the Next Season

open access: yesGuangdong nongye kexue
【Objective】To elucidate the legacy effects of nitrogen fertilization in preceding crops on annual productivity and nutrient cycling patterns within winter wheat-summer maize system, aiming to develop precision fertilization frameworks that reconcile high

Long‐Term Active Rather than Passive Restoration Promotes Soil Organic Carbon Accumulation by Alleviating Microbial Nitrogen Limitation in an Extremely Degraded Alpine Grassland

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Active restoration increases soil organic carbon stocks by reducing microbial nitrogen limitation. Nitrogen availability promotes particulate to mineral‐associated organic carbon conversion by reducing microbial carbon use efficiency. Passive restoration has no effect on soil organic carbon stocks.

Total Nitrogen in Fertilizers

open access: yesJournal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1968
Abstract A three-laboratory collaborative study was made of the comprehensive nitrogen method and the new Raney catalyst powder method for total nitrogen in fertilizers. Both methods worked quite well and, with minor modifications, they should provide the basis for a broader collaborative stvidy to provide an official method for total ...

Soybean Auxin Transporter PIN3 Regulates Nitrate Acquisition to Improve Nitrogen Use and Seed Traits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Xu et al. discovers that switching off auxin transporters in soybean, PIN3a and PIN3b, disrupts auxin flow; this triggers ARF‐STF3/4 signal cascade to activate the nitrate importer NPF2.13 and soil nitrogen acquisition. Multi‐year field trials show edited soybeans maintain yield with higher oil content, offering a potential genetic route to improve ...

The effect of nitrogen fertilization on the humification of the peat in cultivated Sphagnum bogs

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 1962
The paper is a report on the volume weights of the ash-free, dry peat on the cultivated Sphagnum bog at Leteensuo found in connection with different degrees of nitrogen fertilization.

Design of Single‐Atom Catalysts Anchored in N‐Doped Biphenylene Using Symbolic Regression for Electrocatalytic Nitrate Reduction to Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput in silico calculations for NO3RR based on transition metal doped and nitrogen decorated biphenylene network are performed. A symbolic regression is designed to capture the hidden descriptors of NO3RR for hyper dimensional system entailing large geometric variability.
