Nitrogen dynamics in a mature Miscanthus x giganteus crop fertilized with nitrogen over a five year period [PDF]
peer-reviewedThe objective of this study was to investigate N dynamics and response to N fertilization in a mature crop of Miscanthus x giganteus. A crop of Miscanthus x giganteus sown in 1994 was fertilized with five N rates (0, 38, 63, 90 and 125 kg ...

Nitrogen fertilizers and soil fertility [PDF]
Plodnost zemljišta predstavlja jedan od najvažnijih faktora za uspešnu biljnu proizvodnju i postizanje visokih prinosa. Zaštita i očuvanje plodnosti zemljišta predstavlja najvažniji zadatak i aktuelan problem poljoprivredne struke, jer neadekvatnom tehnologijom proizvodnje, a posebno primenom visokih doza đubriva veoma često dolazi do degradacionih ...

Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Rendimiento frutal total y comercial de plantas de frutillas cultivadas bajo diferentes niveles de fertilidad nitrogenada e inoculadas con Azospirillum brasilense REC3 [PDF]
The aim of this work was to evaluate the agronomic response of strawberry plants (Fragaria ananassa Duch.)inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense as a biotechnological alternative to reduce or complement the plant nitrogen-fertilization under field ...

The distribution of ammonium nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen in the soils of field trials was followed in two growing seasons. In these trials ammonium nitrate limestone and calcium nitrate were, at several rates, applied as surface dressing. It was found that not only the ammonium nitrogen but also the nitrate nitrogen applied to the surface of loam ...

Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.
