An energy efficient photocatalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol
Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, 2014Abstract An energy efficient ( E EO value 80 kWh/m 3 ) method for photocatalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) to 4-aminophenol (4-AP) by using TiO 2 -Polyaniline (TiO 2 -PANI) composite in presence of visible light is presented in this article.

Carbon-Based Nanorod Catalysts for Nitrophenol Reduction
ACS Applied Nano Materials, 2019Three-dimensional porous carbon-based materials from metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been proven useful in structural mechanical and catalytic applications due to the high specific surface area and excellent electron transport property. However, introducing and loading of metal catalytic sites on MOF-derived porous carbon-based materials always ...

Abstract m- and p-nitrophenol radical anions have been produced by macroscale electrolysis in aqueous solutions and their decay has been followed both by ESR spectroscopy and polarography. A mechanism is proposed to account for the kinetic results, showing that the decaying radicals produce the original nitroderivative and m-hydroxylaminophenol or p ...

The electrolytic reduction of p-nitrophenol to p-aminophenol
Electrochimica Acta, 1967Abstract The depolarization of p -nitrophenol at a rotating micro-cathode at different current densities and temperatures has been studied. The influence of acid strength and pH on the reduction has been investigated. Results obtained with a copper cathode and an amalgamated copper cathode are reported.

Adsorption and reduction of m-nitrophenol at the dropping mercury electrode
Electrochimica Acta, 1968Abstract m-Nitrophenol is adsorbed at the dme, and lowers the double-layer capacitance, at potentials more positive than its reduction potential. At that potential, a ditterential-capacitance peak appears that is partly faradaic in origin and partly due to the “desorption” (through reduction) of the m-nitrophenol.
