Quantum Chemistry Investigation of Linear and Nonlinear (chir)optical Properties of Oligoamide Foldamers

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 4, April 2026.
The linear and nonlinear (chir)optical properties of four oligoamide foldamers with different donor groups are studied by means of time‐dependent density functional theory calculations. It is shown that stronger donors yield larger hyperpolarizabilities due to low‐lying charge–transfer states. The agreement with the experiments concerning the key bands

Hadroproduction of $W^+ W^- b \bar{b}$ at NLO accuracy matched with shower Monte Carlo programs

open access: yes, 2014
We present the computation of the differential cross section for the process $pp(\bar{p}) \to (W^+\,W^-\,b\,\bar{b} \to)\;e^+\,\nu_e\,\mu^-\,\bar{\nu}_\mu\,b\, \bar{b}+X$ at NLO QCD accuracy matched to Shower Monte Carlo (SMC) simulations using PowHel ...

NLO electroweak corrections in extended Higgs Sectors with RECOLA2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present the computer code RECOLA2 along with the first NLO electroweak corrections to Higgs production in vector-boson fusion and updated results for Higgs strahlung in the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model and Higgs-Singlet extension of the Standard Model.

Towards next-to-next-to-leading-log accuracy for the width difference in the B s − B ¯ s $$ {B}_s-{\overline{B}}_s $$ system: fermionic contributions to order (m c /m b )0 and (m c /m b )1

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We calculate a class of three-loop Feynman diagrams which contribute to the next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic approximation for the width difference ΔΓ s in the B s − B ¯ s $$ {B}_s-{\overline{B}}_s $$ system.

Concise total synthesis of (±)-aspidospermidine and computational study: FT-IR, NMR, NBO, NLO, FMO, MEP diagrams

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Structure, 2018
Abstract Aspidospermidine is a member of the compound class known as aspidospermaten-type alkaloids. Aspidospermidine is among the most highly sought aspidosperma alkaloid targets because it comprises the basic skeletal features of this family of natural products, particularly the complex and characteristic pentacyclic ABCDE framework. In this study,

Single-top Wt-channel production matched with parton showers using the POWHEG method

open access: yes, 2010
We present results for the next-to-leading order calculation of single-top Wt-channel production interfaced to Shower Monte Carlo programs, implemented according to the POWHEG method. A comparison with MC@NLO is carried out.

Wilson fermions in the epsilon regime [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We extend the epsilon-expansion of continuum chiral perturbation theory to nonzero lattice spacing in the framework of Wilson Chiral Perturbation Theory.

NLO QCD+EW corrections to diphoton production in association with a vector boson

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Processes with three external electroweak gauge boson allow for a measurement of triple and quartic gauge couplings. They can be used to constrain anomalous gauge couplings, where new physics might predominantly couple to electroweak gauge bosons.

Resonace-improved parton-shower matching for the Drell-Yan process including electroweak corrections

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We use the Powheg method to perform parton-shower matching for Drell-Yan production of W and Z bosons at the LHC at NLO QCD and NLO electroweak accuracy. In particular, we investigate an improved treatment of the vector-boson resonances within the Powheg

The 2PI finite temperature effective potential of the O(N) linear sigma model in 1+1 dimensions, at next-to-leading order in 1/N

open access: yes, 2004
We study the O(N) linear sigma model in 1+1 dimensions. We use the 2PI formalism of Cornwall, Jackiw and Tomboulis in order to evaluate the effective potential at finite temperature. At next-to-leading order in a 1/N expansion one has to include the sums
