Proton-Triggered Octopolar NLO Chromophores
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2006C(3)-symmetric, octopolar 1,3,5-alkynylbenzenes with terminal pyridyl substituents are presented which show an increase up to 17-fold in the second-order NLO activity upon protonation while maintaining their octopolar character, as confirmed by the depolarization ratios measured.

An effective indicator for NLOS, nLOS, LOS propagation channels conditions
2012 6th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2012A simple and physically-based index is proposed to identify among Line-of-Sight (LOS), near Line-of-Sight (nLOS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) channel propagation conditions. The index is based on the Generalized K (GK) fading model which has been proven to embody different channel propagation conditions.
