ABSTRACT Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations offer unprecedented opportunities for global broadband connectivity but pose significant beamforming challenges due to rapid platform motion and stringent onboard hardware constraints. Fully digital architectures, while optimal in theory, remain impractical for satellite payloads, motivating ...

Integrating Image Segmentation and Deep Learning to Improve Radio Frequency Propagation Models
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a multi‐sensor approach to improve radio frequency (RF) propagation models, which play a key role in the rapidly expanding field of connected vehicle technology. Focusing on the 1‐ to 20‐GHz frequency range, which is critical for both satellite‐to‐vehicle and base station‐to‐vehicle communications, our study introduces a ...

LOS/NLOS Wireless Channel Identification based on Data Mining of UWB Signals
Localisation algorithms based on the estimation of the time-of-arrival of the received signal are particularly interesting when ultra-wide band (UWB) signaling is adopted for high-definition location aware applications. In this context non-line-of-sight (

In Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) positioning, wireless signals are subject to non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation due to obstruction by obstacles, which leads to ranging and positioning estimation errors. How to accurately and efficiently identify line-of-sight

Employing Ray-Tracing and Least-Squares Support Vector Machines for Localisation
This article evaluates the use of least-squares support vector machines, with ray-traced data, to solve the problem of localisation in multipath environments. The schemes discussed concern 2-D localisation, but could easily be extended to 3-D.

Pharmacological activation of Nrf2 attenuated alveolar bone loss and protected periodontal tissues by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, preserving collagen organization, and favoring bone homeostasis. Reversal of these effects by Nrf2 inhibition further supports Nrf2 signaling as a promising therapeutic target in periodontitis.

Azobenzene photoswitches translate molecular‐scale E/Z photoisomerization into macroscopic material responses and device‐level photonic functions. This Review highlights how azobenzene research has evolved from molecular photochemistry to photoalignment, mass migration, photomechanics, and heat release, ultimately enabling holography, reconfigurable ...

Analysis of Machine Learning-Based NLOS Signal Identification Algorithm for UWB Indoor Localization Using CIR Waveform Features [PDF]
Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology stands out among numerous indoor positioning techniques due to its high operating frequency, low interception capability, resistance to multipath effects, and strong penetration.

Müller Glia–Vasculature Interactions in the Developing Retina
Retinal vascular layers form normally despite loss of cholinergic retinal waves. Müller glial processes contact endothelial tip cells early and form Aquaporin‐4‐enriched endfeet. Glial endfoot calcium signals are compartmentalized and occur largely independently of neural activity. ABSTRACT Coordinated signaling among neurons, glia, and the vasculature
