A No-Reference Quality Assessment Method for Hyperspectral Sharpened Images via Benford’s Law

open access: yesRemote Sensing
In recent years, hyperspectral (HS) sharpening technology has received high attention and HS sharpened images have been widely applied. However, the quality assessment of HS sharpened images has not been well addressed and is still limited to the use of ...

Predicting Chronicity in Children and Adolescents With Newly Diagnosed Immune Thrombocytopenia at the Timepoint of Diagnosis Using Machine Learning‐Based Approaches

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To identify predictors of chronic ITP (cITP) and to develop a model based on several machine learning (ML) methods to estimate the individual risk of chronicity at the timepoint of diagnosis. Methods We analyzed a longitudinal cohort of 944 children enrolled in the Intercontinental Cooperative immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) Study ...

Gauge/Gravity Duality and the Black Hole Interior

open access: yes, 2013
We present a further argument that typical black holes with field theory duals have firewalls at the horizon. This argument makes no reference to entanglement between the black hole and any distant system, and so is not evaded by identifying degrees of ...

A Systematic Review of Evidence on the Clinical Effectiveness of Surveillance Imaging in Children With Medulloblastoma and Ependymoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Surveillance imaging aims to detect tumour relapse before symptoms develop, but it's unclear whether earlier detection of relapse leads to better outcomes in children and young people (CYP) with medulloblastoma and ependymoma. This systematic review aims to identify relevant literature to determine the efficacy of surveillance magnetic ...

No-Reference Image Quality Assessment Based on the Fusion of Statistical and Perceptual Features

open access: yesJournal of Imaging, 2020
The goal of no-reference image quality assessment (NR-IQA) is to predict the quality of an image as perceived by human observers without using any pristine, reference images.

Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

No-Reference Quality Assessment for Contrast-Distorted Images

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Contrast distortion is a common distortion type in the image applications. However, there are still very limited approaches proposed for quantifying the quality of the contrast-distorted images reliably.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Pseudo No Reference image quality metric using perceptual data hiding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
International audienceImage quality assessment have been extensively studied during this past few decades. It is obviously very important to provide a mean to judge an image's quality without having to ask to human observers for a sub jective image ...

Research on Adaptive Multi-Source Information Fault-Tolerant Navigation Method Based on No-Reference System Diagnosis

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In order to obtain accurate and optimized navigation sensor information, it is necessary to study information fusion and fault diagnosis with high reliability, high precision and high autonomy, and then to propose a rapid and accurate intelligent ...
