Coronary slow flow/no-reflow: Revisited

open access: yesJournal of Indian College of Cardiology, 2022
No-reflow is defined as failure to restore normal myocardial perfusion despite removal of mechanical obstruction in the epicardial coronary arteries. This phenomenon is associated with high risk of major adverse cardiac events, recurrent heart failure ...

Treatment of Refractory No-Reflow in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory; Role of Intracoronary Verapamil (A Case Report)

open access: yesPakistan Armed Forces Medical Journal, 2022
The no reflow phenomenon is a feared complication in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) procedures including elective as well as primary PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), and results in worse prognosis.

Unveiling the Microvasculature: The Index of Microcirculatory Resistance and Its Expanding Role in Cardiovascular Care

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) is a cutting‐edge, wire‐based tool that advances the capability assessment of coronary microvascular function. By utilizing distal coronary pressure and mean transit time under maximal hyperemia, IMR delivers consistent, reproducible insights into the microvasculature's dynamic health.

Case Report: Smoking as the risk factor of persistent STEMI after primary percutaneous coronary intervention: how it could be happen? [version 3; peer review: 2 approved, 1 not approved]

open access: yesF1000Research
Background Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Smoking may also increase the risk of developing ACS. The most advantageous therapy is percutaneous coronary intervention.

Infinite Functional Versatility, Formidable Limits: Evaluating Gallium‐Based Liquid Metals in Rechargeable Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Beyond the hype surrounding the self‐healing properties of gallium‐based liquid metals (Ga‐LMs), this perspective critically examines their functional roles in metal‐ion batteries, highlighting both their underlying merits and the often‐overlooked challenges, including non‐representative design and testing configurations, performance overestimations ...

No-reflow: a heterogeneous clinical phenomenon with multiple therapeutic strategies

open access: yes, 2006
Previously defined as the failure to achieve uniform intramyocardial reperfusion after prolonged but reversible coronary occlusion, only recently has no-reflow phenomenon been characterized as a heterogeneous clinical condition. In fact, in about half of

The relation between platelet/lymphocyte ratio and the occurrence of no reflow in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction managed by primary percutaneous coronary intervention

open access: yesInternational Journal of the Cardiovascular Academy, 2021
Introduction: No reflow phenomenon following primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a strong predictor of mortality. Platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR) is an indicator of long-term outcome in ischemic heart disease patients.

Influence of Temperature on the Reliability of Graphene‐Based Ozone Sensors

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The reliability and stability of inkjet‐printed graphene flake sensors are evaluated. Stress assessments take place in ozone‐rich environments and at elevated temperatures, with the observation of a change in resistance. Surface‐sensitive techniques serve to investigate the failure and degradation mechanisms of printed graphene.
