Noble-Gas NMR Detection through Noble-Gas-Rubidium Hyperfine Contact Interaction

Physical Review Letters, 1978
Enhanced noble-gas NMR signals are observed in mixed noble-gas-rubidium samples by monitoring spin polarization of the optically pumped rubidium ensemble mechanized as a magnetometer. These signals are believed to arise through electron exchange enhancement of the contact hyperfine interaction during noble-gas-rubidium binary collisions.

Noble Gas Elements

2007
The noble gas nuclides amenable to NMR studies, 3He, 21Ne, 83Kr, 129Xe, and 131Xe, are discussed in this article. Xenon-129 chemical shifts and J-couplings to 129Xe in xenon compounds are correlated with their structures. Solvation and temperature effects on these parameters as well as isotopic effects observed for krypton and xenon compounds are also ...

Another noble gas conquered

Nature, 2000
Noble gases are the least reactive elements. Chemists have created the first neutral compound containing the noble gas argon, leaving only two stable elements in the periodic table — helium and neon — for which no neutral compound exists.

Two-dimensional noble gas

2020
