Alternative Pneumocystis Pneumonia Prophylaxis in Solid Organ Transplants
At our institution, 34.9% of solid organ transplant recipients over a 2‐year period received alternative Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia prophylaxis due to trimethoprim‐sulfamethoxazole (TMP‐SMX) allergies and intolerances. Those that restarted TMP‐SMX tolerated it well (85.7%).
