The mitochondrial genome of Erannis ankeraria (Lepidoptera: Geometridae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2019
The measuring worm Erannis ankeraria belongs to the subfamily Ennominae of Geometridae. The mitogenome (GenBank accession number: MN046105) of E. ankeraria was sequenced, the new representative of the mitogenome of the subfamily.

Comments on differences in classification of the superfamily Noctuoidea (Insecta, Lepidoptera) between Eurasia and North America

open access: yesZooKeys, 2013
An attempt is made to bring consensus between the classifications of the Noctuoidea in Europe and North America. Twelve points of disagreement between the check lists from the two regions are discussed and solutions recommended.

Taxonomic and functional diversity of noctuoid moths in a Mediterranean coastal area: implications for dune conservation in a long‐term ecological research eLTER site

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the taxonomic and functional diversity of noctuoid moths in a protected coastal dune system in Central Italy, revealing strong ecological associations between moth assemblages and dune zonation. Differences in species composition and trait attributes, along with the presence of habitat‐exclusive species, highlight the role of ...

Priority areas for arthropod conservation in the Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands: Insights from a multi‐taxon distributional database

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Using over 416,000 occurrence records from 13 arthropod groups (6233 arthropod species), we mapped large‐scale richness patterns and identified biodiversity hotspots across the Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands. Hotspot congruence among arthropod groups was low, underscoring the importance of integrative, multi‐taxon approaches for conservation ...
