Average-value models (AVMs) of voltage-source converters (VSCs) are widely used as numerically efficient alternatives to their discrete switching models in electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations. Recently, a so-called directly-interfaced AVM (DI-AVM)

ON THE MYTH OF PARENTAL ALIENATION SYNDROME (PAS) AND THE DSM-5 [PDF]
This paper discusses the controversy over the existence of Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) or any other name it may be given. The negative judgements regarding PAS are diverse in nature: from criticism about the personality of the term’s creator, to

In topological semimetals, the valance band and conduction band meet at zero-dimensional nodal points or one-dimensional nodal rings, which are protected by band topology and symmetries. In this Rapid Communication, we introduce ``nodal-link semimetals'',

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Nodal signalling and apoptosis [PDF]
Nodal, a member of the transforming growth factor β family, was first cloned from a 7.5 day post-coitum mouse embryo cDNA library. Nodal exerts its biological effects by signalling through its types I and II serine/threonine kinase receptor complex and intracellular Smad proteins.

Escribir lo real: del giro ontológico al giro práctico
En la actualidad hay toda una serie de interrogantes y discusiones suscitadas en torno a lo real: ¿Qué es real? ¿Lo real está perdido? ¿Cómo nos afecta lo real?

Nodal rings and drumhead surface states in phononic crystals
Three-dimensional topological nodal lines, the touching curves of two bands in momentum space, which give rise to drumhead surface states, provide an opportunity to explore a variety of exotic phenomena.

Symmetry demanded topological nodal-line materials [PDF]
The realization of Dirac and Weyl physics in solids has made topological materials one of the main focuses of condensed matter physics. Recently, the topic of topological nodal line semimetals, materials in which Dirac or Weyl-like crossings along ...

Nodal arc of disordered Dirac fermions and non-Hermitian band theory [PDF]
We show that Dirac fermion systems in two dimensions generally exhibit disorder-induced nodal arc replacing the nodal point and tilted Dirac cone, provided that the two components of the Dirac fermion correspond to two distinct orbitals unrelated by ...

Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.
