Adaptive expansion order for diffusion Variational Nodal Method
Annals of Nuclear Energy, 2018Abstract The Variational Nodal Method (VNM) has been employed as the diffusion module in our PWR core analysis code Bamboo-Core within our PWR fuel management code system NECP-Bamboo. It expands the nodal volumetric flux and surface partial currents into the sums of orthogonal basis functions without using the transverse integration technique.

A Hennart Nodal Method for the Diffusion Equation
Nuclear Science and Engineering, 1995A modification of the Hennart nodal method for neutron diffusion problems is presented. The final system of equations obtained by this method is not positive definite. However, a flux elimination technique leads to a simple positive definite system, which can be solved by the traditional iterative methods.

Inverse nodal problems for singular diffusion equation
Mathematical Methods in the Applied SciencesIn this study, some properties of the pencils of singular Sturm–Liouville operators are investigated. Firstly, the behaviors of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions is learned, then for each discontinuity point a solution of the inverse problem is given to determine the potential function and parameters , and with the help of a dense set of nodes.

Variational Formulation of a Higher Order Nodal Diffusion Method
Nuclear Science and Engineering, 1990A higher order nodal diffusion method is formulated, based on variational principle Kantorovich's variational method, and the patch test. In this paper, the relationship between finite element and nodal methods is discussed and the differences are pointed out.

High-order finite difference nodal method for neutron diffusion equation.
Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology, 1991A nodal method has been developed which accurately and rapidly solves the three-dimensional neutron diffusion equation in both Cartesian and hexagonal geometries. To reduce the number of unknowns in comparison with the interface current method in favor of short computation time and a small computer memory requirement, this method employs the finite ...

A Fast Nodal Neutron Diffusion Method for Cartesian Geometry
Nuclear Science and Engineering, 1983A numerical method based on an analytical solution to the three-dimensional two-group diffusion equation has been derived assuming that the flux is a sum of the functions of one variable. In each mesh the incoming currents are used as boundary conditions. The final equations for the average flux and the outgoing currents are of the response matrix type.

Nodal domain integration model of one-dimensional advection—diffusion
Advances in Water Resources, 1982Abstract The nodal domain integration method is applied to a one-dimensional advection—diffusion mathematical model without a source term. Comparison of the resulting numerical model to the well known Galerkin finite element, subdomain, and finite difference domain models indicates that a single numerical statement can be developed which includes the
