In topological semimetals, the valence band and conduction band meet at zero-dimensional nodal points or one-dimensional nodal rings, which are protected by band topology and symmetries.

From nodal points to non-equidistribution at the Planck scale
In this note, we make an observation that Laplacian eigenfunctions fail equidistribution at the Planck scale. Furthermore, equidistribution at the same scale also fails around the points where the eigenfunctions have large values.

Unstable Points, Ergodicity and Born’s Rule in 2d Bohmian Systems
We study the role of unstable points in the Bohmian flow of a 2d system composed of two non-interacting harmonic oscillators. In particular, we study the unstable points in the inertial frame of reference as well as in the frame of reference of the ...

(Dis)trust, (un)sefety and Cohesion: Discourses of Vaccinations in Ukraine
The article is devoted to the analysis of vaccination discourses as ways of constructing and transforming social reality. Vaccination is considered, firstly, as a direction of state policy in the social and medical sphere; secondly, as a basis for ...

Left-right asymmetry: Nodal points [PDF]
The striking left-right asymmetry of visceral organs is known to depend on left- and right-side-specific cascades of gene expression during early embryogenesis. Now, developmental biologists are characterizing the earliest steps in asymmetry determination that dictate the sidedness of asymmetric gene expression.

Limit Weierstrass points on nodal reducible curves [PDF]
In the 1980s D. Eisenbud and J. Harris posed the following question: “What are the limits of Weierstrass points in families of curves degenerating to stable curves not of compact type?” In the present article, we give a partial answer to this question. We consider the case where the limit curve has components intersecting at points in general position ...

Distribution of nearest distances between nodal points for the Berry function in two dimensions
According to Berry a wave-chaotic state may be viewed as a superposition of monochromatic plane waves with random phases and amplitudes. Here we consider the distribution of nodal points associated with this state.
