Nodal-chain network, intersecting nodal rings and triple points coexisting in nonsymmorphic Ba3Si4. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry, Chemical Physics - PCCP, 2018
Coexistence of topological elements in topological metals/semimetals (TMs) has gradually attracted attention. However, non-topological factors always interfere with the Fermi surface and cover interesting topological properties. Here, we find that Ba3Si4

Risk Prediction Models for Recurrence After Curative Treatment of Early‐Stage or Locally Advanced Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Solution of the inverse problem for Bessel operator on an interval [1,a] $[ 1,a ]$

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In this note, we solve the inverse nodal problem for Bessel-type p-Laplacian problem −(y′(p−1))′=(p−1)(λ−ω(x))y(p−1),1≤x≤a,y(1)=y(a)=0, $$\begin{aligned}& - \bigl( y^{{\prime} (p-1)} \bigr) ^{\prime} = ( p-1 ) \bigl( \lambda- \omega(x) \bigr) y^{(p-1 ...

Tunable Weyl Points in Periodically Driven Nodal Line Semimetals. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2016
Weyl semimetals and nodal line semimetals are characterized by linear band touching at zero-dimensional points and one-dimensional lines, respectively. We predict that a circularly polarized light drives nodal line semimetals into Weyl semimetals.

Points on nodal lines with given direction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Spectral Theory, 2020
We study of the directional distribution function of nodal lines for eigenfunctions of the Laplacian on a planar domain. This quantity counts the number of points where the normal to the nodal line points in a given direction. We give upper bounds for the flat torus, and compute the expected number for arithmetic random waves.

Effectiveness of rTMS on Working Memory and Inhibitory Impairments in Patients With Post‐Stroke Executive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...

Time-referenced effects of an internal vs. external focus of attention on muscular activity and compensatory variability

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2010
The paralysis-by-analysis phenomenon, i.e., attending to the execution of one’s movement impairs performance, has gathered a lot of attention over recent years (see Wulf, 2007, for a review).

Microstructure‐Controlled Crack Propagation and Fracture Resistance in MoSiBTiC Alloy Revealed by Multiscale Extended Finite Element Method Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Visualizing discrete Fermi surfaces and possible nodal-line to Weyl state evolution in ZrSiTe

open access: yesnpj Quantum Materials, 2022
Topological nodal line semimetals (TNLSMs) represent a quantum state of topological matter. When the crystal/time-reversal symmetry is broken, a nodal line state is expected to evolve into a Dirac semimetal, a Weyl semimetal, or other topological phases ...

Coexistence of topological nodal lines,Weyl points, and triply degenerate points in TaS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We theoretically propose that, the single crystal formed TaS is a new type of topological semimetal, hosting ring-shaped gapless nodal lines and triply degenerate points (TDPs) in the absence of spin-orbit coupling (SOC). In the presence of SOC, the each
