Inverse nodal problem for a p-Laplacian Sturm-Liouville equation with polynomially boundary condition

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
In this article, we extend solution of inverse nodal problem for one-dimensional p-Laplacian equation to the case when the boundary condition is polynomially eigenparameter.

Essential Updates 2024–2025: Surgical Strategy for Esophageal Cancer Toward a New Paradigm in the Era of Immunotherapy and Personalization

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This review summarizes key advances from 2024 to 2025 that are reshaping esophageal cancer surgery toward a strategy‐oriented, personalized paradigm through the integration of immunotherapy, population aging, and intelligent technologies. Adjuvant nivolumab after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy remains the only perioperative approach with durable benefit,

Nodal method for handling irregularly deformed geometries in hexagonal lattice cores

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
The hexagonal nodal code RENUS has been enhanced to handle irregularly deformed hexagonal assemblies. The underlying RENUS methods involving triangle-based polynomial expansion nodal (T-PEN) and corner point balance (CPB) were extended in a way to use ...

DC operating point analysis using evolutionary computing

open access: yes, 2004
This paper discusses and evaluates a new approach to operating point analysis based on evolutionary computing (EC). EC can find multiple solutions to a problem by using a parallel search through a population.

Inverse nodal problems for Dirac operators and their numerical approximations

open access: yes, 2023
In this article, we consider an inverse nodal problem of Dirac operators and obtain approximate solution and its convergence based on the second kind Chebyshev wavelet and Bernstein methods. We establish a uniqueness theorem of this problem from parts of

Preoperative Computed Tomography Colonography‐Angiography for Vascular Mapping to Guide and Standardize D3 Lymphadenectomy in Right‐Sided and Transverse Colon Cancer

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This study utilized high‐resolution CT colonography‐angiography to systematically classify vascular branching patterns in 591 patients. We defined four reproducible anatomical patterns each for right hemicolectomy and transverse colectomy, demonstrating that an independent‐origin middle colic artery consistently predicts shorter dissection distances ...

Diagnostic Accuracy of Size‐Based Preoperative CT Assessment for Predicting Lymph Node Metastasis in Colon Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Preoperative CT based on lymph node size shows moderate accuracy for detecting nodal metastasis in colon cancer. In this meta‐analysis of 29 studies (5,634 patients), pooled sensitivity and specificity were 0.69 and 0.66. Size‐based CT alone has limited value for clinical decision‐making.

A defect-correction nodal finite element method for time-dependent Maxwell's equations on polygonal domains

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory
This paper develops a nodal finite element Crank-Nicolson method of lines to solve the time-dependent Maxwell's equations on polygonal domains with reentrant corners.

Survivable Network Design and Optimization with Network Families

open access: yesJournal of Computer Networks and Communications, 2014
In modeling communication networks for simulation of survivability schemes, one goal is often to implement these schemes across varying degrees of nodal connectivity to get unbiased performance results.

smooth nodal stress in the XFEM for crack propagation simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we present a method to achive smooth nodal stresses in the XFEM without post-processing. This method was developed by borrowing ideas from ``twice interpolating approximations'' (TFEM) [1]. The salient feature of the method is to introduce
