Identification of Defective Nodes in Cyber-Physical Systems

2020 IEEE 17th International Conference on Mobile Ad Hoc and Sensor Systems (MASS), 2020
Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) comprise physical systems or objects incorporated with computing functionalities and data storage systems. Different sensor nodes in a CPS communicate with each other and devices like actuators and microcontrollers regulate the physical systems through smart algorithms.

Physically Based Node Distributions For Mesh Generation

International Journal of Modelling and Simulation, 2008
A new physically based approach to mesh generation is proposed, which uses the variants of Monte-Carlo (MC) technique. The mesh nodes are treated as interacting particles and their positions are determined using energy minimization. When the approach is extended with the grand-canonical MC scheme the optimization is performed for both the number of ...

Wireless Camera Nodes on a Cyber-Physical System

Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Distributed Smart Camera, 2016
This paper describes the configuration of a networked control system with multiple distributed cameras as edge nodes of a cyber-physical system. The proposed architecture deploys multiple distributed on computer vision edge nodes capturing the motion of mobile robots to interact with people on the environment.

Physical design challenges beyond the 22nm node

Proceedings of the 19th international symposium on Physical design, 2010
Producing working chips in current (32nm) and forthcoming CMOS technologies feels a lot like trying to create an intricate oil painting using a broom! After all, we are using light with a wavelength of 193nm to create shapes less than a tenth of a wavelength in dimension.

Towards physics-based DTCO for performance of advanced technology nodes

2017 International Conference on Simulation of Semiconductor Processes and Devices (SISPAD), 2017
We present a case study which shows the path towards design-technology co-optimization (DTCO) based on physical device modeling as opposed to simulation based on empirical mobility models. This allows for more accurate and robust predictions of device performance, and allows to assess novel process options found in 7 nm and 5 nm technology nodes.

On the node of a wave

Nature, 2006
A compact electron accelerator can be made by the cunning use of laser pulses to let electrons 'surf' on a plasma wave. The problem has been controlling exactly how much the electrons are accelerated.
