Physical Interpretation of Fictitious Nodes Encountered in the Node Method of Vibration Analysis

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1962
A method of interpreting apparently meaningless solutions of the system of equations encountered when solving a vibration problem by the node method is presented in this paper. These solutions are associated with fictitious nodes connected to the structure by a device called a structural doublet. An illustrative problem is solved.

Simulation of the physical performance of optical packet switching nodes

Journal of Shanghai University (English Edition), 2002
A graphical and visual simulation system for the study of optical packet switching (OPS) nodes is accomplished. With the simulation system, the effect on physical performance — bit error rate (BER) due to a variety of factors such as the crosstalk parameters of OPS nodes, number of cascaded OPS nodes, length of optical output buffer, traffic load and ...

Vulnerability assessment method for cyber-physical system considering node heterogeneity

The Journal of Supercomputing, 2019
Considering the different weights of various heterogeneity node importance in power grid and communication network and the possibility of the power grid island as well as the independent operation of the local area network, a more accurate method is proposed to evaluate the fragility of a cyber-physical system. According to the quo of grid construction

Energy-based anchor node selection for IoT physical layer authentication

2016 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2016
We consider a cellular Internet of things (CIoT) network where many source nodes aim at exchanging messages with a single concentrator node. To this end, they are assisted by anchor nodes that are trusted and securely connected with the concentrator node.

[Cervical lymph node metastasis: CT, ultrasound versus physical palpation].

Zhonghua zhong liu za zhi [Chinese journal of oncology], 2000
To evaluate the accuracy of CT, ultrasonography and manual palpation in the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastasis and to identify the value of CT and ultrasound in the diagnosis of occult cervical lymph node metastasis.Sixty patients (74 sides) were studied double-blindedly by CT and ultrasonography prior to cervical lymphadenectomy, and the ...
