Oncocytic neoplasms are most commonly of salivary, thyroid, parathyroid, and renal origin. Ocular adnexal tumors with oncocytosis have been reported. We report an unusual example of a skin adnexal tumor from the back. A tumor of uncertain duration was excised from a 54-year-old man.

Nodular hidradenoma is a rare adnexal tumor most likely arising from the eccrine gland. We describe three cases of a nodular hidradenoma presenting as an expanding nodule on the forehead (case 1), left lower extremity (case 2), and left neck (case 3). We discuss the clinical and histologic features of this tumor and present a review of the literature ...

In five benign nodular sweat gland tumors, areas of melanin pigmentation were found within the tumor parenchyma. Active melanogenesis was confirmed by the presence of 3,4 dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) positive cells within two of the tumors, and details of other standard enzyme histochemical reactions are described.

Nodular hidradenoma and hidradenocarcinoma
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1985We studied eighty-nine nodular hidradenomas (NHs) and six clear cell hidradenocarcinomas (CCHs) reported in a 10-year period. NHs were more commonly seen in women (ratio of 1.7 to 1); the average age was 37.2 years, and they were located mainly on the head. One CCH had widely disseminated metastasis that led to death.

Nodular Hidradenoma of the Eyelid
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1996Since sweat gland tumors of the eyelids are uncommon, most ophthalmologists have had little experience with them. We describe a patient with hidradenoma of the left upper eyelid. Report of a Case. A 77-year-old Japanese man was referred to an eye clinic because of a mass in his left upper eyelid. The lesion was said to have been present for 3 months.

A Study of Histopathologic Spectrum of Nodular Hidradenoma
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2012Hidradenomas are rare benign adnexal neoplasms that encompass a morphological gamut with a range of differentiation. As a consequence, there is a great likelihood of being mistaken for other primary and metastatic tumors. Though conventionally regarded as eccrine, they have been reclassified into eccrine and apocrine types. This study aims to document ...

[Malignant nodular hidradenoma and multiple nodular hidradenomas in a hypogonadic patient].
Annales de dermatologie et de venereologie, 2007We report a case of multiple benign nodular hidradenomas associated with malignant nodular hidradenoma in a hypogonadic patient.A 49 year-old man presented 11 benign nodular hidradenomas in the pectoral region. A malignant nodular hidradenoma had recently appeared in this region some distance from the pre-existing benign modular hidradenomas.

Malignant Nodular Hidradenoma on the Scalp
Acta Cytologica, 2009Background Malignant nodular hidradenoma (MNH) is a malignant adnexal tumor of the eccrine sweat glands. The histology is similar to that of benign nodular hidradenoma, but MNH shows an infiltrative and invasive pattern, necrosis and angiolymphatic invasion.
