Is Wheat Yield Truly Low in Japan?: Examining Yield Formation Efficiency in Comparison With Northwest Europe

Our study clarifies Japan's seemingly low wheat yield compared to Northwest Europe owes to climatic adversity for wheat in monsoon Asia, by focusing on yield formation efficiency rather than yield itself.
