Large deviation principle of occupation measure for stochastic real Ginzburg-Landau equation driven by $α$-stable noises [PDF]
We shall establish a large deviation principle for some occupation measure of the stochastic real Ginzburg-Landau equation driven by $\alpha$-stable noises. As a consequence, we obtain the exact rate of exponential ergodicity of the stochastic system under $\tau$-topology.

Evaluation of integral exposure energy load on aural analyzer of miners [PDF]
The individual exposure integral noise load on workers before the beginning of hearing impairment was determined for a group of 20 male miners who had worked with drilling equipment and harvesters for 8 to 20 years before the onset of the disability ...

Ascertainment of occupational histories in the working population: The occupational history calendar approach [PDF]
Background Self-reported occupational histories are an important means for collecting historical data in epidemiological studies. An occupational history calendar (OHC) has been developed for use alongside a national occupational hazard surveillance tool.

Algorithmic management in the gig economy: A systematic review and research integration
Summary Rapid growth in the gig economy has been facilitated by the increased use of algorithmic management (AM) in online platforms (OPs) coordinating gig work. There has been a concomitant increase in scholarship related to AM across scientific domains (e.g., computer science, engineering, operations management, management, sociology, and law ...

Noise at a workplace: permissible noise levels, risk assessment and hearing loss prediction
Noise is a major occupational risk factor that causes hearing loss, one of the most widely spread occupational diseases. Recently some new standards that regulate noise at workplace have been fixed and risk assessment in the sphere has become necessary ...

Occupational changes in the organ of hearing and equilibrium in sailors and fisherman [PDF]
Prophylactic examination in persons engaged in fishing industry and in sailors of ocean-going ships demonstrated occupational cochlear neuritis, resulting from the action of noise and vibration.

A comparison of occupational and nonoccupational noise exposures in Sweden
This study was conducted to evaluate noise exposures and the contributions of occupational and nonoccupational activities among three groups of Swedish workers (office workers, day care workers, and military flight technicians), and to evaluate risk factors for elevated hearing threshold levels.

Nudging Tactics for Enhanced Compliance With Condition‐Based Maintenance Guidelines
ABSTRACT Condition‐based preventive maintenance (CB‐PM), dependent on robust and precise indicators of equipment quality, stands to gain advantages from the integration of sensor technologies. Yet, the effectiveness of such systems relies on an important factor: people.

Quantum calculation of feedback cooling a laser levitated nanoparticle in the shot-noise-dominant regime [PDF]
In this paper, results of quantum calculations are presented for feedback cooling of an optically trapped nanoparticle in the laser-shot-noise-dominant regime. We numerically investigate the system using both parametric and force feedback cooling schemes.
