Varying coefficients correlated velocity models in complex landscapes with boundaries applied to narwhal responses to noise exposure [PDF]
Narwhals in the Arctic are increasingly exposed to human activities that can temporarily or permanently threaten their survival by modifying their behavior. We examine GPS data from a population of narwhals exposed to ship and seismic airgun noise during a controlled experiment in 2018 in the Scoresby Sound fjord system in Southeast Greenland.

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Engineering a Spin‐Orbit Bandgap in Graphene‐Tellurium Heterostructures
Tellurium intercalation in epitaxial graphene on Ir(111) enables the emergence of a spin–orbit‐induced bandgap with energy spin splitting. By combining STM, ARPES, spin‐resolved ARPES, and DFT, two structural phases are identified, both exhibiting tunable electronic doping.

Environmental noise exposure and autoimmune diseases: Evidence from a national cohort study
Exposure to environmental noise is an inevitable factor and may pose a risk to health conditions, even potentially affecting the immune system. However, the relationship between noise exposure and autoimmune diseases has not been well explored.

This study introduces a paper‐based biodegradable, humidity‐insensitive e‐nose for real‐time breath analysis, addressing challenges in existing technologies such as humidity interference, high costs, and environmental impact. Featuring hydrophobic polymer coatings, these sensors reliably detect VOCs even in high‐moisture environments.
