Evaluating the Accuracy of Android Applications in Monitoring Environmental Noise Levels
Objective This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of Android applications (apps) in measuring environmental noise levels, focusing on their potential use for occupational health assessments. Methods The top 10, highly rated, free Android apps were tested on a Samsung Galaxy A54 Smartphone (Samsung Group, Samsung Town, Seoul, South Korea) using pure ...

MONITORING NOISE LEVELS ALONG THE GREATER CAIRO URBAN REGION RING ROAD IN EGYPT
In this study, the noise levels were monitored at Cornish EL Maadi (A), Gezirat El Dahab (B) and Al-Marioteya (C). The data revealed that the noise levels at Corniche El Maadi Street (A) and Al-Marioteya (C) (all day) as well as at Gezirat El Dahab (B) (evening) exceeded the set noise regulations in Egypt.

How urban noise can be influenced by the urban form [PDF]
The noise propagation is influenced by the behavior of the sound trajectory. The temperatures, the wind, the type of soil are other elements that influence the noise propagation.

Measuring the broadband power spectra of active galactic nuclei with RXTE [PDF]
We have developed a Monte Carlo technique to test models for the true power spectra of intermittently sampled lightcurves against the noisy, observed power spectra, and produce a reliable estimate of the goodness of fit of the given model.
