Inter-Noise 2022, 2022
In the case of noise modelling preparation of industrial plants, if the client does not have the required quantity and quality of information and data for the proper outcome, we have to produce them for ourselves. In such instances, field survey is essential to obtain the desired data.

Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2002
Synchronized chaotic systems are highly vulnerable to noise added to the synchronizing signal. It was previously shown that chaotic circuits could be built that were less sensitive to this type of noise. In this work, simple chaotic maps are demonstrated that are also less sensitive to added noise.

Noise Zoning of the City Using Noise Mapping
2020 IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EIConRus), 2020Noise is one of the main factors that cause a harmful effect on the health of the population. The most convenient source of information on noise pollution is a noise map. It also serves as an effective tool for controlling and combating noise and monitoring pollution.

Participatory sensing allows for a person-centric approach to gathering environmental measurement data with, in principle, high gran- ularity in space and time. Here we report on a citizen science experiment for noise mapping a 1 km2 area in the city of Antwerp using NoiseTube, a participatory sensing framework for monitoring ambient noise.

Image noise-informative map for noise standard deviation estimation
2011 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2011The problem of automatic detection of image areas that can be reliably selected for accurate estimation of additive noise standard deviation (STD), irrespectively to processed image properties, is considered in this paper. For getting accurate estimate of either texture or noise parameters involved, we distinguish two complementary image informative ...

Noise map validation by continuous noise monitoring
Applied Acoustics, 2011Abstract This paper presents a comparison of two noise assessments in the Gdansk agglomeration in Poland. One is based on the noise map produced by computational method for the city in 2007, the second one is based on real data from continuous measurements acquired by a noise monitoring network operating in the city since 2008.

The application of noise maps for traffic noise reduction
Noise Control Engineering Journal, 2011Using a computer model, a traffic noise map was prepared for a 1-km section of one of the most frequently travelled roads in Istanbul. Calculations were carried out in grid intervals of 10 m at 4 m above ground level. Field measurements were also conducted for the same region. The traffic noise map and noise level measurements are compared. Predictions

The Role of the Noise Maps for the Noise Management in the Cities
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015The paper presents the application of noise maps in cities to reduce the traffic noise level on the streets. The division of noise maps, noise indicators for the evaluation of these maps as well as software systems used for creating noise maps are described in this paper.

Noise reduction for progressive photon mapping
ACM SIGGRAPH 2012 Posters on - SIGGRAPH '12, 2012We present an adaptive noise reduction technique for progressive photon mapping, which preserves the consistency of the original algorithm. Although progressive photon mapping converges to the correct result in the limit, the image produced after a finite number of samples can suffer from both bias and noise [Hachisuka et al. 2010].
