NOISE FEATURES OF BREATH AND HEARTBEAT INFORMANT SIGNALS [PDF]

open access: yesRadio Physics and Radio Astronomy, 2022
Subject and Purpose. The subject of research is the flicker noise present in informant signals of search-and-rescue radars, specifically its properties and the effect it may have on algorithms for detecting and identifying manifestations of human breath ...

Wave Measurements Using Multi-Frame Processing of Marine Radar Data

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Marine radars have proven to be useful for measuring ocean waves, but the accuracy of the measurements is limited by several factors including the look-angle dependence of the radar signals as well as noise in the radar data.

Data Processing and Interpretation of Antarctic Ice-Penetrating Radar Based on Variational Mode Decomposition

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
In the Arctic and Antarctic scientific expeditions, ice-penetrating radar is an effective method for studying the bedrock under the ice sheet and ice information within the ice sheet.

Generating and Detecting Solvable Chaos at Radio Frequencies with Consideration to Multi-User Ranging

open access: yesSensors, 2020
High entropy waveforms exhibit desirable correlation properties in radar and sonar applications when multiple systems are used in close proximity. Unfortunately, the information content of these signals can impose high sampling requirements for digital ...

An improved hydrometeor detection method for millimeter-wavelength cloud radar [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2017
A modified method with a new noise reduction scheme that can reduce the noise distribution to a narrow range is proposed to distinguish clouds and other hydrometeors from noise and recognize more features with weak signal in cloud radar observations ...

Coherent Integration Loss Due to Nonstationary Phase Noise in High-Resolution Millimeter-Wave Radars

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Phase noise refers to the instability of an oscillator, which is the cause of instantaneous phase and frequency deviations in the carrier wave. This unavoidable instability adversely affects the performance of range–velocity radar systems, including ...

Simulasi Unjuk Kerja Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) dan Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) untuk Pengolahan Sinyal Radar di Daerah yang Ber-Noise Tinggi

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro, 2014
Detection of low signal and determination target locations  is the basis and important in the system radar. Performance of radar can enhanced with enhancement  signal-to-noise ratio in the receiver.

Solid-state microwave noise radar

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1976
Microwave solid-state devices such as impatts can provide moderately high levels of noise power. A simple noise radar has been demonstrated using a cable delay line and correlator. Further experiments for greater range using variable s.a.w. delay lines and downconversion of the microwave signal are outlined.
