Reduction of Compressor Noise Radiation

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1966
The mechanisms underlying compressor noise radiation are reviewed in detail with particular emphasis on potential methods for compressor noise reduction. It appears that many independent methods of reducing compressor noise are possible, so that large (20–30 dB) reductions of noise radiation may be practicable.

Satisfaction With Noise Reduction Circuits

American Journal of Audiology, 1993
The purpose of this investigation was to study the effectiveness of different "noise reduction" circuits for subjects of differing degrees, configurations, and experience with amplification. Fifty subjects with hearing impairment were randomly assigned one of four circuit types whose marketing claims suggested resultant improvement in speech ...

Quantum Noise Reduction II

2000
In this chapter we will cover the area of theory and relevant experiments in the generation of squeezed states. Prior to discussing the parametric oscillator, we offer a brief introduction to non-linear optics and input-output theory. Finally, we will discuss other important experiments that generate squeezed states.
